Petua Menghilangkan Panau

Ada di antara kita yang menghadapi masalah panau di badan. Jika panau tersebut berada di bahagian yang tertutup mungkin kurang merunsing tetapi jika di kawasan pandangan orang mungkin akan menjejaskan keyakinan diri.

Sebenarnya ada beberapa cara yang boleh diusahakan untuk menghilangkan panau antaranya ialah;
  • Tumbuk beberapa ketul lengkuas dan perah airnya. Sapu air lengkuas pada kulit yang terkena panau. Ketika mengamalkan petua ini hendaklah tidak memakan sebarang lengkuas.
  • Tumbuk daun pinang hingga lumat dan sapukan pada bahagian yang terkena panau.
  • Tumbuk beberapa helai daun belimbing hingga lumat. Campurkan dengan asam jawa dan sedikit beras. Kemudian tampalkan ramuan pada bahagian kulit berpanau. Lakukan setiap hari sehingga panau tersebut hilang.
  • Tumbuk beberapa helai daun lengkuas, ambil airnya dan sapukan pada tompok-tompok panau. Lakukan beberapa kali. Untuk lebih mempercepatkan kesannya, elakkan mengambil makanan yang menggunakan lengkuas.
  • Campurkan secekak daun kesum dengan sedikit minyak tanah. Gosokkan pada bahagian yang mempunyai panau setiap hari sehingga panau itu sembuh.
  • Tumbuk lumat beberapa helai daun gelenggang. Sapu pada panau dan biarkan selama 15 minit sebelum dicuci bersih. Amalkan selalu sehingga panau hilang.
  • Ambil air perahan buah pinang dan sapukan pada bahagian yang berpanau. Amalkan berulang kali sehingga berhasil.
  • Tenyehkan pucuk lada pada kulit yang berpanau sambil berselawat. Amalkan selalu.
  • Tumbuk dua ulas bawang putih dan sedikit halia. Sapukan pada bahagian yang berpanau. Lihatlah hasilnya dalam beberapa hari.
  • Tumbuk halia sebesar ibu jari hingga lumat.Tempelkan halia ke bahagian kulit yang berpanau selama 15 hingga 20 minit. Amalkan selalu.

A Mouse Story

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.

'What food might this contain?' The mouse wondered -
he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard,
the mouse proclaimed the warning.....

'There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!'

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said,
'Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you but it is of no consequence to me.
I cannot be bothered by it.'

The mouse turned to the pig and told him,
'There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!'

The pig sympathized, but said,
'I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray.
Be assured you are in my prayers.'

The mouse turned to the cow and said,

'There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!'

The cow said,
'Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose.'

So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected,
to face the farmer's mousetrap-- alone.

That very night a sound was heard throughout the house --
like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.

The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught.
In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught.

The snake bit the farmer's wife.
The farmer rushed her to the hospital and she returned home with a fever.
Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient.

But his wife's sickness continued,
so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock.
To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.

The farmer's wife did not get well; she died.
So many people came for her funeral,
the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.

The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.

So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you, remember --
when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.

We are all involved in this journey called life.
We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

Each of us is a vital thread in another person's tapestry;
Our lives are woven together for a reason.

One of the best things to hold onto in this world
is a friend….

Pantun Kehampaan Berkasih

Selasih di Teluk Dalam,
Datang kapas Lubuk Tempurung,

Petua Menghilangkan Bau Badan

Masalah bau badan memang menjadi satu kerisauan bagi sebahagian orang terutama mereka yang mempunyai gaya hidup aktif. Ianya boleh mengurangkan keyakinan diri seseorang itu untuk bertemu dengan orang lain.

Berikut adalah beberapa petua yang boleh diamalkan samada untuk mengurangkan atau menghilangkan bau badan;
  • Potong pendek batang pokok kantan segar dan tumbuh hingga lumat. Rebus kantan yang ditumbuk itu hingga mendidih kemudian angkat dan biarkan sejuk. Jadikan air rebusan itu sebagai mandian. Gunakan air biasa untuk bilasan yang terakhir.

  • Rebus secekak serai wangi, daun jambu, daun lengkuas dan daun pandan. Campurkan air rebusan tadi dengan sebaldi air biasa. Amalkan mandian ini tiga kali seminggu.

  • Selepas mandi gosokkan seketul tawas pada bahagian-bahagian badan tertentu terutamannya di ketiak.

  • Kupas sebiji timun muda dan dibasuh bersih. Gosokkan di bahagian badan yang mudah berpeluh. Lakukannya sebaik sahaja selepas mandi dan sekerap mungkin.

  • Goreng segenggam beras tanpa minyak sehingga hangus. Ramas hingga hancur dan bancuh bersama air asam jawa. Gosokkan di bahagian yang mudah berpeluh. Biarkan selama 10 minit sebelum mandi. Lakukan sekerap mungkin.

  • Campurkan tawas yang telah dijadikan serbuk dengan sedikit beras. Gaulkan kedua-duanya dan disapu ke seluruh badan yang mudah berpeluh. Lakukan setiap malam sebelum tidur.

  • Minum air rebusan daun sirih atau daun nenas muda yang telah dicampurkan dengan garam. Amalkan sekurang-kurangnya selama seminggu.

  • Lumurkan hampas kelapa ke seluruh badan. Biarkan selama 45 minit sebelum dibilas dengan air bersih.

  • Gosokkan hampas teh yang telah digunakan pada seluruh badan terutama di ketiak selama 15 minit sebelum mandi. Amalkannya dua kali seminggu.

Petua Menyegar dan Menyihatkan Mata

Beberapa petua untuk menyegar dan menyihatkan mata;
  • Lekapkan dua uncang teh yang sudah digunakan pada kedua-dua belah mata selama lima minit. Amalkan selalu supaya mata sentiasa segar dan bersinar.

  • Lekapkan hirisan timun segar pada kedua-dua belah mata. Biarkan selama beberapa minit sambil anda berbaring.

  • Keluarkan lendir beberapa batang daun lidah buaya. Sapukan pada kedua-dua kelopak mata dan pejamkan mata kira-kira setengah jam. Selepas itu, cucilah kelopak mata anda.

Personal Hygiene - Teeth

The teeth, ideally, should be brushed after every meal and last thing at night to remove trapped food particles and prevent decay. When brushing after meal is not possible, rinse the mouth out with water. Brush up and down, not backwards and forwards, on both sides of the teeth. move the brush high and low enough to massage the gums without damaging them. Avoid using harsh abrasives and strong antiseptics; always use your own toothbrush and do not share a brush with someone else.

A dental check-up twice a year ensures that any decay is detected at early stage, when the dentist can treat it easily and effectively.

Personal Hygiene - Skin

Normally healthy skin needs little care apart from regular washing with soup and water. Greasy skin should be washed more frequently than dry skin, which can be helped by rubbing in a slightly oily lotion or ointment. Where sweat is not free to evaporate, such as under the arms and between the thighs, bacteria can break down the oil in the sweat and give off body odour. In most people, this can be avoided by daily washing: in other, a daily bath with liberal soap lathering is necessary. Body odour can also come from sweat in clothing; under-clothing, socks or stockings should therefore be changed every day.

It is important for people past middle age to take care of their feet. Corns and bunions are potential sites of infection. Consult a doctor or chiropodist about treatment; do not try to treat stubborn corns yourself.

Personal Hygiene - Nails

Nails need little attention apart from regular cutting of filing: keeping the nails reasonably short helps to prevent splitting. Push back the cuticles at the base of the finger nails with blunt instrument, such as an orange stick. Cut toe nails straight across, not rounded like finger nails, to avoid pressure from shoe forcing the nail into the skin at the edges and causing ingrowing nails.

Personal Hygiene - Hair

The condition of the hair can reflect the general state of a person's health. Wash your hair at least once every ten days - more frequently if it is oily. Rinse throughly and dry with a hair dryer or a soft towel: hand rubbing with a rough towel can split the ends. When possible, brush the hair gently as it dries. Hold some of the hair together and brush the lower end of the tress only. Then brush higher up, and finally brush the ends nearer the scalp. Brushing the whole length of the hair in one sweep can also split the ends.

Washing removes, along with dirt, the natural oil from the hair - and no shampoo can restore it. Shampoo usually contain only soap or detergent, with added perfume:;a poor shampoo may contain a mild alkali such borax, which can irritate the scalp. Thick oily dressings tend to clog the opening of sweat glands and irritate the scalp; they should be avoided. If you are troubled with dandruff, wash your hair with a medicated shampoo; and if you have dry hair, massage a little olive oil into the scalp after shampooing.

Smell And Taste

There are relatively few disorders which affect the nose. Some conditions can, however, cause a loss of the sense of smell. These include the common cold and other inflammations of the nasal membranes and sinuses. Steam inhalations or decongestant may ease the discomfort of a stuffy nose, and restore the sense of smell.

Disorder affecting the sense of taste include inflammation of the tongue, or glossitis, and mouth ulcers. The symptoms of glossitis are red, sore tongue, on which black or white patches may appear. If the condition continue for any length of time, a doctor should be consulted. Mouth and tongue ulcers, although irritating, are usually harmless, but it is wise to consult a doctor if mouth ulcers persist.

Noise And Hearing

Noise is a major problem, particularly for people living in large cities, because it affects not only the ears but also the whole body. Moderately loud noise causes the blood vessels of the skin to contract, and can temporarily impair the ability of the eyes to focus and see in depth. Sudden, unexpected noise can momentarily upset the body - the head jerks forward, the muscles tense and the heartbeat quickens.

If such physical reactions happen only rarely, they are harmless. But unpleasant psychological effects, such as irritability and tension, can build up after repeated or continuous exposure to noise. Prolonged exposure to high-volume music in discotheques may impair the hearing. One way to overcome discomfort or possible hearing damage from noise is to wear ear-plugs or ear-muffs.

Looking After The Ears

Accumulation of wax in the ear may cause discomfort and even mild deafness. There may be popping or bubbling noises in the ear. Do not try to clear out or remove a foreign object from the ear canal with anything pointed, such as a hair pin. The surface of the canal can easily be scratched or the ear-drum damaged.

A doctor can genarally remove wax by syringing the ear with warm water of a solution of sodium bicarbonate. Sometimes it may be necessary first to soften the wax with warm olive oil or liquid paraffin in the ear.

Looking After The Eyes

It is sensible not to abuse the eyes by reading or writing in a poor light, although doing so cannot cause damage. When possible, the light should be a little above and behind the shoulder. After reading steadily for a while, look up from the text and into the distance, this provide relief for tired eye muscles.

Eyedrops or ointments may provide relief for certain conditions, but do not use them unless a doctor considers them necessary.

Anyone who get headaches after reading or doing much close work should consult his doctor in case he needs glasses. Badly adjusted television or the stroboscopic lights used in discotheques may cause migraine headaches in susceptible people.

Safeguarding The Senses

Because the senses are our only links with the outside world, they deserve special attention. The sense organs, particularly the eyes, are vulnerable to external injury and irritation; any damage can hinder or even eliminate the ability to act effectively. In addition, continued abuse of a sense organ can diminish its effectiveness.

Berkongsi Memberi

Seorang tua berumur melebihi 80 tahun telah dilihat oleh seorang jirannya sedang menanam benih pokok pear. Lelaki itu berasa aneh kerana pokok itu mengambil masa bertahun lamanya untuk berbuah. Lalu dia bertanya, "Atuk, mengapa Atuk menanam pokok itu? Cucu fikir Atuk tentu tidak sempat makan buahnya".

Orang tua itu pun memandang kepada lelaki itu sambil tersenyum lalu berkata. "Cucu, sepanjang hayat, Atuk hanya memakan buah pear yang ditanam oleh orang lain, inilah masanya untuk Atuk menanam untuk orang lain pula".

Dalam mengamalkan memberi, kita sama-sama menanam pokok pear dan memakannya, dan samalah dengan orang lain tanpa disedari mereka telah lakukan demikian untuk faedah kita, mungkin beberapa tahun yang lalu.

Hari ini memberi adalah satu bekal untuk kebahagian di hari muka, walaupun kita tidak tahu bila, di mana atau dalam bentuk apakah kebahagiaan itu akan datang, yang mana merupakan sebahagian daripada keseronokan.
